Roderick Lewis is the Executive Director of Global Inclusion & Community Impact at the Wake Forest University School of Business. In his position, Lewis spearheads the development and implementation of school-wide strategies to promote practices geared toward fostering a global and inclusive community that unleashes the full potential of all its members - both internal to the school, and external to it. He sits in the Strategic Initiatives Office providing leadership on human capital management alongside colleagues who advance thought leadership, professional practice, and experiential learning in environmental sustainability and emerging instructional technologies. With over two decades in both national and global education, Lewis brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in human capital enhancement strategies, corporate workforce analytics, performance improvement, and community impact. He worked several years abroad in Spain, Portugal, and the UK leading business school career centers and alumni relations at internationally-ranked institutions. He was the first Director of MBA Career & Alumni Services at Portugal's newly-created Lisbon MBA Program in collaboration with MIT Sloan. Lewis was also the first Director of International Career Services for the Energy MBA Program at ISCTE Business School in Lisbon, Portugal. Additionally, Lewis worked several years in Corporate America as an HR Consultant and University Relations Manager with companies such as Kimberly-Clark Latin American Operations and Delta Airlines Global Recruitment Operations - both based in Atlanta, GA. He is recognized as an influential and innovative leader who has been recognized nationally and internationally. A few of his recognitions include: Selected as 1 of 13 UNC employees chosen to join the Future of Work Design Team to create a flex/remote work playbook for UNC Chapel Hill. Elected in 2022 to serve a two-year term as Director of Diversity & Inclusion on the Board of the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE). Prior to joining Wake Forest University School of Business, Lewis served as the Executive Director for University Career Services at UNC Chapel Hill. In this role, he led initiatives to foster meaningful connections between students, employers, and alumni; while also motivating a 20-person office to create innovative ways to increase the career center brand and reputation among internal campus stakeholders as well as our external ones. Lewis earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama, and an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Portugal.
